Chemical peels for age spots has been a popular concept among many. Many come to believe that if you want to get rid of age spots, in fact, it’s the only way. After all, it must work or why would people keep buying it, keep participating in such a harsh procedure? They also say it rejuvenates the skin, and theoretically at least, some problems are only skin deep. So removing several layers of that skin might remove the problem.
This being said, there are different severities of chemical peels for age spots or for any other problem for that matter. There are milder ones generally meant for those with sensitive skin, darker skin tones, or otherwise, then there are medium and more severe for more severe problems. The big reason why they do not allow those with darker skin tones to get anything but mild chemical peels is because they bleach the skin.
Now if you have age spots, that might seem like it would be the best chemical peels for age spots, because plenty of products work to bleach out age spots. The problem is those products go too far, and the chemical peels go way too far. Realistically, there are good and bad things about chemical peels in general, let alone chemical peels for age spots. They are easy botched, and really they can be quite dangerous and leave permanent side effects. But for many, they do work.
